The Brief

We were tasked with improving the online visibility of Workforce Skills Support through SEO and Paid Search. The aims were top bring in more relevant traffic for important keywords that related to the training programmes that they provide. SEO and Paid Search were identified as key solutions to focus our attention and investment.

The Strategy

As with all of our SEO and Paid clients, the team at visibility got straight to work with keyword research and competitor analysis to identify those search terms which would be very important. We focused our efforts on identifying the keywords which would bring traffic to services which had the highest margins first. As a way to try to see our return on investment as quick as possible.

We identified that the user experience of the website needed to be improved to help users navigate easily to the exact course they were looking for as the breadth and scope of the training offering was vast.

By creating a robust strategy of content improvement and creation as well as link building, we were able to turn the site around for the better.

The Results

We managed to increase the number of keywords. In the first 6 months of working together, we were able to increase the number of keywords by 132. That’s a 73% increase. We increase the number of page 1 keywords by 8 and page 2 keywords by 10. Although the number of keywords is an important measure, it’s also very important to know that the keywords we were able to increase were very relevant to the services provided.
